About Robert Rodgers PhD

My mother and uncle were both diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease which were the motivators for me to launch Parkinsons Recovery® in 2004.

My motivation and passion for researching natural methods to reverse symptoms of Parkinson’s is inspired by what happened to both my mother and uncle. My mother depended on prescription medications to address her many conditions – only one of which was Parkinson’s.  At the end of her life she was taking a dozen prescription medications which contributed to a stroke that ended her life.

My uncle also depended on medications to address his issues. He donated his body to the Harvard Medical School with the anticipation that researchers might learn something about this neurological condition.  Researchers determined that my uncle did not have Parkinson’s. He had Hepatitis C.

I concluded that while medications clearly can offer welcome relief from symptoms, there were surely natural therapies, methods and approaches that would make it possible for the body to heal from the inside out. This perspective inspired the founding of Parkinsons Recovery in 2004.

Through Parkinsons Recovery I provide information, support and resources to a global audience about natural therapies that can potentially offer relief from Parkinson’s symptoms. This work has resulted in identifying over 100 natural therapies that offer the opportunity to celebrate a relief from symptoms.
